The gallery app in Android organizes all the media files that include videos and images in a sequential manner. Sometimes we don’t want the gallery to show specific files. It can be any app’s pictures, your private pictures, or just some random thumbnails.
So, to make it work, here we are with this article to share with you how you can hide media files from Android gallery.
Hide Media Files From Android Gallery
Accomplishing this task is effortless. All you need to do is to create a file in the folder where the images or videos are present that you want to hide. Follow the steps below.
- Download any good file explorer for your Android device. I recommend ES File Explorer.
- Now go to the directory in your phone’s internal or external storage where the media files are present that you want to hide.
- Create a new file named .nomedia in that directory.
That’s all! Now check back your Android gallery, and you’ll find that all the media files in that specific folder are now hidden.
